Golf Adeje
Golf Adeje

The “Canarias Open de España 2003” took place only five kilometers from Playa de las Américas,  in golf Costa Adeje with the idea, to create one of the most important leisure complexes of the Canarian islands. The first 18 of the 27 holes, which the golf course cover, cover a surface of 800,000 square meter. The draft of the place comes from Pepe Gancedo, which set its signature under 14 golf projects in Europe and America. The philosophy of this golf architect is, that his courses, as he says are built “with the hand”, the courses are integrated into the vegetation and environment. The last 9 holes built next to the driving range are a bit shorter but more technical. The course with its beautiful views to the sea counts with 6 lakes that make your game an interesting and joyful experience.   .

The attitude “landscape and vegetation to sketch, can be regained at first sight in Costa Adeje, since the process of the Fairways adapts perfectly to the natural soil conditions. For this purpose also more than 5,000 square meter of stone walls of former agriculture terraces were restored. From the golf course you have  fantastic views on the sea, the island Gomera, Playa de las Américas and on the mountains of Adeje. The strategically set of the greens is generally generous. The course is structured in equal parts in Par 3, 4 and 5 and begins with a long Par 5 of 510 meters. The 18th hole is likewise a Par 5, in this case of 500 m.

Under the additional installations in Costa Adeje there is the 45,000 square meters large Driving range. In order to  facilitate the difference in height between the golf course and the Driving range (25 m), an elevator was installed, which you can use with  the buggy. Framework of the European Volvo route.

Particularly to emphasize the outstanding and tasty “fusion is – kitchen” from a combination of French, Caribbean and mediterranen influences.
